Clifford Wellings, unfortunately, did not survive the war. He is buried in the Prague War Cemetary.

At the moment, I do not know the reason for this whether it was as a result of injuries received when captured, illness or as a result of an escape attempt

Colin Jones, Rector of Holy Trinity Church at Wordsley has confirmed to me that C A Wellings is recorded on the War Memorial in the High Street; he has made enquiries and unfortunately, nobody in church remembers the family; do you??
The war memorial was raised by public subscription and is nominally under the care of a charitable trust called the Men of Wordsley.
