Tom Caldwell was serving with the 6th Royal Scots Fusiliers when he was captured on 5th July 1944. He had been wounded & perhaps this is why he became a PoW being left behind in the ebb & flow of the confused fighting in the area at the time. He was captured (acording to his PoW questionnaire near Cully.
